Paul Rudolph’s Legacy
Join the SAF, as we partner with Ringling College of Art + Design and AIA Gulf Coast, for an evening focusing on Paul Rudolph’s Legacy and his Sarasota High School Addition, slated for renovation in Spring 2012 by the Sarasota County School Board. There will be a round-table discussion by a distinguished panel including Sarasota School of Architecture members Carl Abbott FAIA, Gene Leedy and Tim Seibert FAIA, John Howey FAIA author of “The Sarasota School of Architecture” and Joe King AIA co-author of “Paul Rudolph: Florida Houses”.
Moderator Marty Hylton III, director of Historic Preservation, University of Florida’s College of Design, will talk about the Sarasota Public School Program (1954-1960).
Jedd Heap AIA will introduce the eleven Sarasota buildings (the Sarasota High School Addition being one of them) on AIA Florida’s “Top 100 Buildings in Florida of the Past 100 Years” list.
